H4, the Honors Freshman Orientation Retreat, is held each August to welcome new Honors students into the Honors community. Registration information is available early in the summer.

Counselors Get Ready for H4

The sophomores, juniors and seniors volunteering as counselors for H4 got to campus Tuesday then left for Deer Run Retreat Center where they have been participating in team-building activities and preparing for campers to arrive on Thursday. (Read more…)

H4 Day Three

Honors freshmen went through more team-building and leadership-development activities today before watching a “College for Dummies” skit put on by counselors and cheering their hearts out around the bonfire.

H4 Day Two

Campers participated in a variety of team-building and leadership-development activities this morning and had a large number of activities to choose from in the afternoon.

H4 Begins

Honors freshmen moved into Minton Hall this morning before heading off to Camp Loucon for the H4 Honors Freshmen Orintation Retreat. The 137 campers began getting to know each other and their counselors after a visit from president Gary Ransdell at the camp.

Counselors Preparing for H4

Upperclassmen Honors students arrived at Camp Loucon yesterday and have been bonding with each other while preparing to be counselors for the Honors freshmen who will move in to campus and head to H4 tomorrow.

Cookies for Cleanliness

Banana nut muffins, caramel brownies, peanut butter cookies and other baked goods lined the table outside Downing University Center where Honors Club members were raising funds for Camp Loucon. (Read more…)
